to every adorable girl i fall in love with on public transit... - m4w (chi) 23yr
What lies within.... - w4m
"I was always of the mind l'existence précède l'essence, but I can also see how the law of attraction is always at work. Open to discussion, tomorrow ?
Together, I would love to experience 'Intense Aliveness'."
The Graduate, Cute. - w4m (Chicago) 21yr
"Young Man,I do need to be taken care of! But, people have tried and it is known that I am difficult to care for. I’m glad you got home okay. When I was young, like you, I was stranded at Paddington station (London) because London Bridge station was bombed. I had no money on me (coins or cash) and had no way to get back to my place, so I’m standing there and this woman says to me, “I’m a weird magnet, honey. Are you a weird magnet too?” Well, yes I am! And, to this day I am. So, she took me out for coffee and then she took me out for drinks. She was on vacation and she said I would entertain her for the day. After hours and hours of drinking, I announced that I would walk home. People protested and gave me money, told me which buses to take and I made it home. Everyone that helped that day told me, “Its okay dear, help someone else in need one day.” So, I always do. Good luck to you in all that you do. Strangers are the best!Molly"
crossed paths, Mahler and flip-flops - m4w (Millenium Park) 34yr
"You sat down next to me in the pavilion and then we ended up chatting for a few blocks on the way westward after the performance on Saturday night. You ride a scooter and have stitches to prove it, and you come from out East. I do remember your name, but won't post it here. You were quite charming not to mention rather lovely. I enjoyed talking with you and in hindsight I wish I would have taken that left and kept walking and talking instead of turning right and heading back North. I'm such a guy that way. I had the right idea, just 30 seconds too late, and by then you were gone.I know it's unlikely that this will ever reach you, but you never do know. If it does and if you'd care to chat a bit, perhaps to pick up where we left off, shoot me an email."
Dear L. - m4w
"Sorry, but I lost interest in you. You were not enthusiastic enough, and far too ambiguous. You said you were interested, but didn't act like it. I don't have the time to wait for you to show some excitement and act out on your claimed 'interest' in me, and I don't want to. You may still have a chance, if you were to suddenly ask me out for a change, or make it clear (through action, not random texts) that you want to see me again. But I don't see that happening.I know we went out only one time, but it was an amazing date, and we both had a great time. We both agreed on that. But the way you've been since is just uninspiring. I've heard enough maybes in response to my asking you out. I've had enough of feeling like you either think I'm just going to be sitting around here forever, eternally patient and waiting for my next chance to see you, or that you simply don't have the balls to tell me you don't want to see me again, even after I had basically given you the perfect chance to break that news to me.It's sad, because I think you're attractive, funny and very talented at certain things, and you made me feel very good (especially the way you laughed at my jokes so much). We probably could have made a very good couple, but now we'll never know."

We are "friends" on Facebook - w4m
"We met last month for a reunion. For years, I felt that you were the one the got away. Recently, I found out that it may have not been entirely your choice. I would like to have a conversation with you about it, but only if you are ready. Please tell me in your response what restaurant the reunion was at so I will know if it is really you! I really hope you answer this post."

verizon wireless, you read walden (lincoln park, north & clybourn) 28yr
"In the VERIZON repair section, you were sitting diagonally from me, waiting patiently, reading Walden, having just bought shoes from Fleet Feet. You kept looking at me when I left -- both in the store, and in the parking lot, as if I knew you. I don't think I know you but maybe I'm supposed to. I should have turned around, but I was stupid."
Indie girl who ate her Taco Bell like an angel - m4w 19yr
"You wore that smile like a dress. Yeah, I saw you, and you saw me. I watched as you ate your delicate, fragile Gordita Crunch at Taco Bell. The way you licked the cheese sauce off your lips left me aghast. I sat there, drinking my bluish Mountain Dew Baja. The floors were made of cheap, 90s-esque tile.Pablo took your order. 'One Gordita Crunch and one Volcano taco, please' slipped from your innocent, supple lips.I was in love.I watched from across the room, you know, that booth in the corner? Unblinkingly, I stared at your nonconformist style. I knew for a fact that we had two things in common; you liked Taco Bell, and presumably Bright Eyes.Won't you reply to me, mysterious taco-woman? I long for your cheesy lips and limber body.Sincerely,Your little Chalupa."
Boy sitting across from me and my friend 8/16 around 9:30 pm - w4m (Red Line) 18yr
"We were smiling at each other and I showed my friend something I bought and you made a heart with your hands and said you loved it. We waved goodbye. You had a hat and a bottle of wine in a grocery bag."

Airforce McGee at St. Mary's - w4m (St. Mary's ER) 25yr
"oh Airforce McGee, I knew it was meant to be from the first time I saw you. Your sleeve tattoo, your calculatedly disheveled hair, and your excessively neon running shoes... me with my decidedly bloated waist (it is normally 27 inches) and grimace of pure, horrific, torturous pain. You said I had a pretty bra and then you carefully dressed me and gave me morphine as my dear friend looked on, giggling quietly to herself. I was so sad when I was admitted, because now I cannot gaze upon your shining face as it blurs into the background with another shot of painkillers. So how bout it? You and me, after I break out of here? Let's get a beer once I've been cleared to drink."
Rise Against the Starting Line - w4m (Around Chicago) 20yr
"You know this is about you.You also know that I was super shy when I met you.Let's fix things and be super close again?I think we had a missed connection 5 years ago."

To L... - w4m (Lakeview) 24yr
"I find myself thinking of you all the time, and missing you more than I should. Small things remind me of you...the way I now eat my waffles, a place you once took me to where I discovered your appreciation for good Italian food and the now rare times I find myself riding the 22 bus. We didn't see eye to eye on our relationship (wish I would've known that sooner), but I know you still care. We've had our share of arguments, and I've probably cried a few too many times, but you still have this ridiculous pull on me. I know you'll never read this. I'm scared that you're going to find someone new. But the worst part is there's nothing I can do to fix this. You're too stubborn. So here's to wishing at some point you can swallow your pride. And that I'm not too much of a fool."
Leg Room Bouncer - w4m (Chicago)
"Its your job to be nice to all the bachelorette parties and you're fantastic at it. Thanks for taking pictures for us, getting rid of some annoying gentlemen, and complimenting our bachelorette/bridesmaid glasses. I'm not a great flirt in those types of situations, unlike the Bride to be and her future sister-in-law, but I thought you were adorable. Hope you had a great night and thanks for making ours a whole lot better.Yours,The Maid of Honor"

At the California Post Office Today, Saturday - w4m (Logan Square) 25yr
"You were buying a box for records and I was trying to pick up a package. We talked about long summers. I was wearing a big, floppy hat. Anyways, under normal circumstances, I would have asked your name, but I was so tired that it didn't really cross my mind."
singing biker - w4m (Dearborn & Chestnut)
"Around 8:50 pm I was crossing Dearborn. You, shirtless man, were riding your bike northbound. And singing. Rather well. I have no idea what you looked like, except that you were not wearing a shirt and you were definitely a man. I don't really care what you look like... all I know is that I want to be your friend because clearly you are awesome. You stopped singing when you sailed through the intersection at Chestnut. We just stared at each other. Then you turned back around and started singing again and I laughed loudly. I have a hunch that we would make formidable friends... or that this is the way you pick up women in the city. Even if the second part is true, I'd still like to be your friend.I think you're rad."
How to NOT miss a connection (everyone)
"1. Watch the scene in the kitchen in'Something's Gotta Give' with Jack Nicolson and Diane Keaton, where they decide to make pancakes.2. Next time you meet someone, play the role of Jack.3. You'll get the person in the end.good luck."
you've changed - w4w (south)
"how does someone change so much in so short a time? you drink too much, you stress too much, you get mad at me for being me.maybe if i had been less a secret and more a part of your life with your friends we would have stood a chance.does your new life make you happy? maybe you just no longer share with me how your life makes you happy.i would still do anything for you, i just don't want you to take advantage.i love when your anger melts away and i see my best friend again."
Sorry to admit - w4m
"I typed out the text no less than 10 times, but never sent. Probably won't.
As all the other times, you won't answer."

To the guy I found passed out in the alley this morning (Racine and Belmont)
"Are you OK? I drove up and saw a lady poking you. It took you a while to move, let alone answer. You were wearing a red polo and black gym shoes, passed out face down in the alley behind the BP station. You seemed alright when you got up and walked away. Hope the bottle of water I gave helped nurse your raging hang over. Don't go passing out in alleys again. Drink responsibly."
