Nicole (I hope) waitress from Konaks - w4w (Andersonville )

"Well I certainly hope this is you.

On Friday, April 5 somewhere around 10:00 pm, I was on what I can only describe as a particularly disastrous date. She and I were sat at the end of the bar and you were over by the computer. We noticed each other and smiled in what I imagined was, at first, just routine, perfunctory politeness. However I would keep looking over at you and catching your eyes and smiling. All this despite my best and routinely, perfunctory, polite efforts to stay focused on my date. There were reasons for this:

The romantics of the world, like me, will assert that there are times when, for the briefest of moments you cross a person's path and, even if no words are actually spoken, your heart creates the kind of poetic verses which have been sung for centuries past and centuries to come. They speak of incandescent beauty, luminous elegance and the sort of alluring bewitchment which catapults the soul into realms where possibilities are as endless as the nights which accompany them. It happened to me, every time our eyes met and you blushed as yours lowered with absolute and demure grace.

I never forgot you. Two weeks later, and following a great deal of general life and work getting in the way busy-ness, I ventured back into Konaks and asked the bartender for your name. I described you as best I could and 'Nicole' was the name he returned. I hope he was right or I suppsoe one could say this is an 'embarressing moment'.

If by some strange miracle of happenstance you do remember me, the tall British brown eyed brunette, then please write back.

You see enough of these Missed Connections and you wonder if any of them ever do resolve themselves in two enamored spirits finding each other again. It can be easy for even the romantics of the world to be more than a little cynical. (You weren't on that date!!!)

Just for once, I hope I will be proven wrong and that you see this.

If so and if I wasn't highly mistaken...oh sweet Nicole......fly with me!"
