wanted to give you my number on the blue line this morning - m4w (blue line going north to O'Hare) 32yr

"Around 8 AM this morning, you got on somewhere in the loop, carrying a big black tote bag with bright rainbow-colored polka dots and a drink from Starbucks. I was wearing a black jacket and bright green shirt, sitting a few seats back with a couple of big bags, going to O'Hare, pretty empty car. I was typing on a little white netbook. We smiled at each other, you took out your phone, I looked for my phone, realized I forgot it. By that point more people were getting on. Then I was going to type my number on the screen of my netbook in a really large font but I felt shy to flash my number or email to a bunch of people on the train. So I looked for something to write it on but it took me a while to find a pen and paper, and finally I felt too shy to get up, walk across the train, and hand you a piece of paper, and you looked like you had been ready with your phone all that time. You got off around Belmont or Logan Square at about 8:20. Not very impressive, I know. But in my own defense, I was running on 2 hours of sleep, without coffee, and trying to catch a flight.

You should drop me a line because I'm a swell guy and not embarrassed to look for you even after that awkward start. And I've got a cute white netbook."
